About EPR Rates
Who we are
EPR Rates publishes cross-country extended producer responsibility (EPR) fee rate data at eprrates.com. The service is operated as a sole trader by Sida Li, trading as EPR Rates. We operate from mainland China, outside the European Economic Area, and read our mail and subscriber records there.
Buyer support: hello@eprrates.com · +44 7845 126919. The operator's identity and the terms that apply to a subscription are set out in our Terms of Service; where the data and the correspondence sit is set out in our Privacy Policy.
How we do it
Every rate on this site is extracted from an official publication and carries the date on which it was last verified. The method is written out in full on the Methodology page, section by section:
- Where the numbers come from — the reviewed allowlist of official sources, and what we do when a source blocks automated access.
- How rows are verified — immutable snapshots with a
SHA-256 hash, a source URL and an
as‑ofverification date on every row. - Confidence labels — what official, via industry association and market price, not statutory mean on a cell.
- Units and normalisation and Update cycle and history — what we normalise, what we never overwrite, and how corrections are published.
- The rule library behind the registration pages — one record per country, each cell carrying its own source, date and evidence tier.
- What we deliberately don't do.
Where automation sits in that: the pages on this site are generated by a build script from the library of verified rows. The rates in that library are extracted by a human, then machine-checked and screened for contradictions before publication, and Last verified reflects a real check of the source, not page regeneration.
Why this site exists
A seller shipping into Europe meets the same three questions in every country: do I have to register, who do I register with, and what will it cost. The answers sit in national law and in the tariff sheets of each country's producer responsibility organisation — in that country's language, on that scheme's own site, on a page that can change without notice. This site puts the published answers in one place, country by country, with the official source and the verification date next to every figure, so an answer can be checked rather than taken on trust. Coverage today: 4886 rate rows, 28 countries, household packaging, household textiles, batteries, waste electrical and electronic equipment, commercial and industrial packaging and packaging taxes.
